What's On Out There? - Summer 2026
The news, links and listings post for Sheffield and the northern Peak District.
What’s On Out There is the news, links and listings service for everyone interested in the wild outdoors around Sheffield and the northern Peak District. The preview version is free (so please share with anyone interested in this kind of thing).
But to keep us going, we need at least 380 of the thousands of people who seem to like us to join our social enterprise as full subscribers. We’re 90% of the way there, with over 340 full members so far, but if you want to see this kind of local reporting in the Outdoor City, we’re not paid by cunning clickbait or alarming algorithms, real human readers like you are the only income source we have.
Full subscribers can read the full version of What’s On Out There with around 6 weeks of listings, links and lots more in the online version.
You’ll also get full access to every post we ever publish, including our fairly interesting archive, and a warm glow from supporting local journalism.
The free version of this post will host incoming out there news, and will now be updated more or less weekly, so either bookmark and check back when you like, or look for our Substack notes or Bluesky updates.
Full Subscribers - your post is full of lovely pictures and links and stuff, and is regularly updated, so please reload online to get the full version, which is too big to fit in an email.
