Well there are people and there are women. That seems to be the idea that is now dying out - and not a moment too soon!!
I remember when I was little and miserable about being just a girl, my mum told me that although boys grow up to be stronger, women have more stamina and can keep going for longer. I don’t know how she knew this, but there is certainly some truth in it. As she brought up four of us with no car, no dishwasher, no tumble dryer, and doing the shopping on foot or on her bike, she clearly knew whereof she spoke!
