Active Travel Year, Ughill Farm, Bolehill Woods: 4th Oct 23
Wild government transport stuff, while our Mayor holds his nerve on Active Travel. Plus extended what's on, and updates on Ughill and Bolehill - our weekly round up for full subscribers.
Hello subscribers - news in today of some radical local transport changes following Rishi Sunak’s big announcements on Wednesday. In our series of links to interesting online reads, there’s a post from modern media mover and shaker Joshi Herrmann, founder of the Sheffield Tribune and Manchester Mill, about just where the prime minister might be getting his ideas from. You might need to check your spectacles.
There’s also Sheffield & Rotherham Wildlife Trust’s new appeal about Ughill Farm, and a short interview with South Yorkshire Mayor Oliver Coppard on the evening of his shindig on Thursday launching what appears to be a “Year of Active Travel.”
